How Judgment works

HEART/SPIRIT
& SOUL

Your heart/spirit relates strongly:

            So it relates vertically,
relates to those you consider higher than you:
                       Authority figure(s) you greatly respect.
                       Someone you’re infatuated with.

                       But, notably, to God.
,         ,         ,         ,         Hence: spiritual songs, spiritual prayers, etc.

 heart/spirit  God

Whereas your soul relates weakly:

            So it relates to anyone:
                       Sometimes, vertically, to God.
But usually, horizontally, to other people.
,         ,         ,         ,         Hence: soul music, soul mate, life & soul of the party.

 soul  others others others

Functionally speaking:

            Your
heart/spirit is:
your central area, the inner you, the real you.

            Your soul is:
your outer area, the outer you, the not quite you.

 heart/spirit  soul

Soul = mind + emotions + cultures.
(Perhaps see earlier webpage:
The spirit & the soul.), , , , ,

.

It should be:

      the heart/
spirit controls the soul which, in turn, does everything,

heart/spirit  action/behaviour arrow  soul  outside world

which happens in believers who have renewed their minds.
,         In which case the grey area would be changing to pale grey or white.

But, in unbelievers:

      The heart/
spirit does little, expresses itself little, or not at all.

The soul produces most behaviour, expresses itself the most
(its input & output being to & from the world around it).

FLESH, BIBLICALLY,
IS PART OF YOUR SOUL

In the New Testament of the KJV Bible:

The word ‘flesh’ sometimes seems to mean merely the body:
                 1 Pet c2 v11:
                 Dearly beloved,
                 I beseech
you as strangers and pilgrims,
                 abstain from fleshly lusts,
                 which war against the soul;
KJV

 heart/spirit  body, or flesh  soul

      Mind you, the word ‘flesh’
sometimes seems to mean ‘body and soul’:
all parts of a person – that might do wrong,
*
all parts of a person – except the good heart/
spirit.

                  Gal c5 v19:
Now the works of the flesh are manifest,
                 which are
these;
                       Adultery, fornication,
                       uncleanness, lasciviousness,
KJV

 heart/spirit  body  flesh  soul

      However, technically speaking:

                 The body, on its own:
                       cannot do wrong,
is only a tool of the soul.

                 Hence:

a)   The flesh, because it actually does wrong,
                             cannot include the body.

                       b)  The flesh can only include
                             the parts
of the soul that actually do wrong.
,,        ,,        ,,        ,,        ,,
As compared to might do wrong*.

Hence, flesh cannot include the entire soul.

 heart/spirit  soul  flesh

.

Here are some scriptures that support the statement:

a)   The flesh, because it actually does wrong,
                 cannot include the body.

            My comments in orange.

            Rom c7 v18:
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,)
            dwelleth no good thing:
            for to will is present with me;
            but
how to perform that which is good
            I find not
.   KJV

The body contains many good things, perhaps all good.
So the word flesh, in the above text, cannot be the body.
,,        ,,
The problem within the text is solved by  Rom c8
,,        ,,        and the two verses beneath this paragraph.

            Gal c5 v16:

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit,

and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.   KJV

            Gal c5 v18:
But if ye be led of the Spirit,
ye are not under the law.
   KJV

These are soulish solutions, not physical solutions.
This implies that the problem too
had been in the soul, not in the body.
Therefore flesh is part of the soul, not part of the body.

            Gal c5 v17:
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit,
and the Spirit against the flesh:
and these are contrary the one to the other:
so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
KJV

The body contains many good things, perhaps all good.
So the word flesh, in the above text, cannot be the body.
,,        ,,
The problem within the text is solved by  Rom c8
,,        ,,        and the two Galatians verses in the previous paragraph.

            Gal c5 v24:
            And they that are Christ's
            have crucified the flesh
            with the affections and lusts.
KJV

            It is destructive, therefore wrong,
to actually destroy parts of your body
            in order to combat sin.

,,        ,,        ,,        You may complain:
, ,,      ,,        ,,        ,,        Matt c5 v30     Matt c18 v8-9     Mark c9 v43-48:
,         ,,        ,,        ,,        And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off,
,         ,,        ,,        ,,        and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee
,         ,,        ,,        ,,        that one of thy members should perish,
,,        ,,        ,,        ,,        and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.   KJV
,,        ,,        ,,        But I say:
,,        ,,        ,,        ,,        See second cell
,,        ,,        ,,        ,,        of later section:
,,        ,,        ,,        ,,        VARIOUS GENERAL CONTRADICTIONS OF JESUS.

Plus the verses just before & after Gal c5 v24
            (i.e.
Gal c5 v22-23  &  v25):
                       are soulish solutions
                       not physical solutions
to the problems presented back in
Gal c5 v19-21.

This implies that the word flesh, in Gal c5 v24,
                       is of the soul
                       not of the body.

THE HEART/SPIRIT
TRIES TO CHANGE
THE SOUL

In an unbeliever (or a ‘believer’):
A ‘believer’ is someone who thinks they believe
but doesn’t (yet) actually believe.

            the soul stops the
heart/spirit
                       from expressing itself
                       through the soul

because the soul sees that it would be
                       materially disadvantageous.

For example:
            The
heart/spirit sees Jesus’ command “love your enemies”
            as right.

            But the soul
,                  Or, to be precise, the un-renewed mind within the soul
,                  (soul = mind + emotions + cultures)

stops the heart/spirit from expressing it materially.

            Hence, even though the
heart/spirit is a good structure,
            it is isolated and ineffective.

.

Mind you, in an unbeliever or a ‘believer’,
the heart/
spirit at least tries to act through the soul.

And the heart/
spirit succeeds, to a degree:
slowly changing the soul as it does so,
making the soul more & more constructive.

In an unbeliever or ‘believer’:

            This change tends to be:
                       slow,
                       natural,
only partly completed in this life.

In a believer, who is renewing their mind:

            This change tends to be:
                       quick,
                       supernatural,
                       completed in this life.

The reason that, for unbelievers & ‘believers’,
this change takes so long
is:
            It’s not only:
                       your good heart/
spirit
            that impacts your soul.

            It’s also:
the good and bad aspects of your
                       genes
                       culture
                       education
                       upbringing
                       environment
                       circumstances
                       influences from people
                       temptations from demons
                        encouragements from God

that impact your soul.

.

HOWEVER, ON JUDGMENT DAY,
OUR HEARTS/
SPIRITS
WILL CHANGE US QUICKLY

On Judgment Day
each of us will meet the Father properly,
quickly understand what he’s like,
and immediately decide:

whether to be morally like him
            or not

            whether to use the power
that he will have just given you
            to finish changing yourself
            or not.

Deciding whether to be morally like the Father, or not,
            is the same as
deciding whether to be morally like the Son, or not:

            John c10 v30    (John c14 v8-11):
            I and
my Father are one.   KJV

            John c5 v19:
Then answered Jesus and said unto them,
Verily, verily, I say unto you,
The Son can do nothing of himself,
but what he seeth the Father do:
for what things soever he doeth,
these also doeth the Son likewise
.   KJV

            John c14 v9-11:
            Jesus saith unto him,
Have I been so long time with you,
and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?
            he that hath seen me hath seen the Father;
            and how sayest thou
then,
                 Shew us the Father?
Believest thou not that I am in the Father,
            and the Father in me?
the words that I speak unto you
            I speak not of myself:
but the Father that dwelleth in me,
            he doeth the works.
            Believe me that I
am in the Father,
            and the Father in me:
or else believe me for the very works' sake
.   KJV

THE REASON FOR
JUDGMENT DAY’S LATENESS

You may say:

      “Why doesn’t God:

o    identify all the bad brain cells
                 in the souls of
                 the good-hearted/
spirited, the righteous,

o    throw them away,

o    then take
                 the good-hearted/spirited, the righteous,
                 to Heaven:

                             Their hearts/
spirits having only ever been
                             good brain cells.

                             Their souls, too,
now being only good brain cells.”

I say:

            The Father can see:
                       who has a good heart/
spirit
                       & who has a bad heart/
spirit.

,         ,         ,         ,         1 Sam c16 v7,,,,,

            The Son, too, can see:
                       who has a good heart/spirit
                       & who has a bad heart/
spirit.

,         ,         ,         ,         John c2 v23-25,         John c1 v43-51,,,,,

And anyone can see good & bad behaviour.

            But we cannot,
            even God cannot,
see the good or bad brain cells
that cause good or bad behaviour.

            That’s because

many brain cells that do bad
            at other times do good,
            and vice versa.

.

            Mind you, our hearts/spirits
do eventually change our souls anyway,
do eventually make our souls become
completely good or completely bad anyway.

We all, each of us, change,
            of our own accord,
            anyway.

We all, each of us, morally mature,
            by ourselves,
            anyway.”

.

MORALLY MATURING BY OURSELVES

Jesus describes this morally maturing by ourselves
in his parable of the wheat & the weeds.

Here’s my abbreviation of
his wheat & weeds parable.:

Here’s my abbreviation of
his explanation of
his wheat & weeds parable.

Matt c13 v24-30:

      A farmer
      sowed wheat
      in his field.

      In the night, his enemy
      sowed weeds
      in the same field.

Matt c13 v36-43:

      God
      put his children
      into the world.

      Satan
      put his children
      into the world.

      When the weeds started
      to come up
      a farmhand asked the farmer:
“Shall I pull up the weeds?”

      The farmer said: “No.
      You might uproot the wheat.
      Let everything grow and
      we’ll harvest everything later.
      It’s then that we’ll separate
      the fully grown weeds
      from the fully grown wheat.

      Judgment day.

      Then we’ll burn the weeds

      but keep the wheat.”

      Angels will send
      everything that causes sin
      and all who do evil
      to Hell.

      Angels will take
      the righteous
      to Heaven.
